Entering Week 2 of Remote Work in the Age of COVID-19

The roads in Washington DC are quiet, the metros are empty as is the space in our headquarters building in Arlington,VA as well as our service center in Asheville, NC as we enter the 2nd week of ensuring our team is taking social isolation seriously and working from home. I remain grateful to those on our team who have still come in to open mail, pay invoices and support our ongoing renovation efforts (as if things were not chaotic enough!). All has me reflecting on our new “normal”.

My new office space in our family room…complete with furry assistant.
Skype meetings with the NTCA team. Who’s surprised that Josh’s study looks like the Library of Congress? No one.
Exercise “study breaks” are now held in the basement with my Mirror – thanks to my home broadband access!
Sights from around the neighborhood that tell the story of social changes.
What I have resorted to….eating chocolate chips for my chocolate fix without even bothering to bake cookies around them.

Stay safe and stay well…..and let’s maintain a sense of humor and humanity as we all help each other moving forward.
